"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." --Psalms 119:105
We read this scripture in Young Women's a couple of weeks ago. It makes me think of camping, when I have to get up and find my way in pitch darkness, to the car, or the tent, or the outhouse. Without a flashlight or a lantern, it's quite scary. Not only could I lose my way or run into something, I could come across a snake or a scorpion, or a larger animal. It is true that the word of God is what provides light in my life. It shows me where to go, it helps me to not be scared or confused.
"For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life."
--Proverbs 6:23
