Thy friends do stand by thee

The other night I was looking up the scriptural sources for a song my ward choir is singing, and I read D&C 121, one of the chapters Joseph Smith wrote in Liberty Jail. The love that the Lord shows for Joseph is so strong here.  But one verse in particular stood out to me:

7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity shall be but a small moment;
8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.
9 Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands.
10 Thou art not yet as Job; thy friends do not contend against thee, neither charge thee with transgression, as they did Job.
7 and 8 are verses that everyone knows, but 9 really impressed me. I have friends who stand by me, and offer warm hearts and friendly hands. We are a constant support to one another. I am so blessed to know the stellar women (and men) that I know. We are all so different...so, so different. But we love each other, and it works. No matter how hard any situation gets in life, God blesses me with people to support me, to just be with and grow closer to through those times.
