I have learned

This blog article, Confessions of a Mormon Bishop, has been all over Facebook today. It's been so popular that the site wouldn't load when I clicked on the links the first five friends or so posted throughout the day. Finally tonight, it worked for me. I generally don't care to read the ruminations of church members I don't know. So many of them have twinges of bitterness that I don't need added to my own struggles. But this one was unexpectedly beautiful, uplifting. It brought tears to my eyes. I really only posted it here so I can find it again. One of these days I would like to make a list of simple truths I've learned. Sometimes things I've learned are so difficult to articulate--it's hard to even say what I've learned, because I don't know if it's the same as what God was trying to teach me. But I don't think I could go far wrong if I keep it simple, like the truths this Bishop has learned. My favorite of the ones he shared is "I have learned that faith is a muscle."
